The Edgewood Production Studio is a production resource at the School of Art. Access to the space requires general facility and equipment orientation. Questions should be directed to Sarah Stevens-Morling at sarah.stevens-morling.yale.edu.
Featured Equipment
- The Edgewood Production Studio features DMX/MIDI Board, 8 truss mounted LED panel lights, 5 floor-standing LED panel lights, 3 floor-standing tungsten lights. A Panoramic 13’ Chromakey Green Screen, Stop Motion Stand, Fluid-Head Tripods, Dollies, Computer Cart with iMac and light stands.
- Supplemental video/sound production equipment may be borrowed from the Equipment Loan Office Room 215 in Green Hall.
Required Training
This video training will allow you to become certified to rent the studio. It takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. (Use your yale.edu email address to join the video training session.)
Training Tips
- Mini quizzes follow each video section. You are welcome to rewatch sections or skip forward, but you must attempt to complete all of the mini-quizzes.
- Each mini-quiz takes less than one minute to complete.
- You must answer 75% of the questions correctly to become certified. You may retake the session with no penalty if you do not get 75% correct on your first try.
- The software will save your progress so you can stop and come back to the training if you would like to work on it in shorter increments.
Booking the Studio
Students who have completed the training have access to sign-up for any open slot on our booking sheet.
Access Rules
- Time slots are two-hours in length (except midnight to 6AM, which is six hours) and cover 24 hours a day.
