Please join us for our first Paul Rand Lecture in Graphic Design for the 2024-2025 academic year. We’re thrilled to host an engaging talk with Precog Magazine co-editors Florencia Escudero, Gaby Collins-Fernandez, and Kellie Konapelsky. Precog is an independent magazine that explores science, technology, techno plastics, cyber culture and feminism.

Florencia Escudero creates sculptures that include soft and handmade components printed with digitally-rendered imagery. Escudero received an MFA in Sculpture from the Yale University School of Art in 2012. Her works have been exhibited at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, CT, Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York, NY, and Petzel Gallery, New York, NY, among other venues. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Florencia is a co-editor and publisher at Precog.

Gaby Collins-Fernadez is a painter thinking through digitality, cultural and personal memory, and repetition. She will have a solo exhibition at Rachel Uffner Gallery in NYC opening in September 2024 and was a 2023-4 Sharpe Walentas Studio Resident. Gaby is co-editor and publisher at Precog.

Kellie Konapelsky is a creative and design director who has worked primarily within the cultural sector. She sees her practice as a collaborative process working alongside photographers, illustrators, filmmakers, writers, and architects. She received her BA in Design Media Arts Department from UCLA in 2006 and her MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University School of Art in 2014. Kellie is a co-editor, publisher, and graphic designer at Precog.

The Paul Rand Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of the Paul Rand (’85 M.A.H.) Annual Lectureship in Design Fund.
